WebJan 22, 2024 · Unicorn Spit dries very fast and has no bad odor. If watered down a bit it can be brushed on as a stain, and rubbed down. It does, however, have to be sealed with an OIL based coating. I would suggest an oil based spray paint. Give the shelves a quick coat or two. They'll look beautiful! Patricia A. Because Unicorn spit gets reactivated with water there is a risk that some water will get under the sealed layer and the Unicorn Spit will wash away. I must have added a really good layer of sealer because 6 months later my pots still look great.
